Van Morrison is 65 today!
Been away from the blog for awhile. Sorry about that.
Thought this article was funny. John Mellencamp doesn’t mind using the internet to sell his music, but, be careful out there!
Don’t get me wrong – I love technology. It lets us do things we never thought we could do and it lets us get them done quicker, but, I love this idea John Mellencamp had about his new album.
He also has a unique greatest hits package coming on June 15th.
It looks like we are going to be enjoying nice weather for the Memorial Day weekend in NEPA.
As you gather with friends and family, take some time to remember those who sacrificed everything the freedoms we enjoy everyday.
For a brief look at the day once known as “Declaration Day”, check this out. Or if you prefer to see some video, The History Channel has a pretty good site.
Also, Arlington National Cemetery has a great photo gallery and info on the origins of the 21 Gun Salute, Taps, and other military history.
The Cultural Council of Luzerne County is trying entered the “Pepsi Refresh Project” for a chance to win a $50,000 grant.
This will enable them to host free community events at River Common Park in Wilkes Barre.
Sunday, April 11th the friends of Genna Kundratic are holding a benefit to support her fight against breast cancer.
Genna, an emergency room nurse, is currently going through chemotherapy.
The benefit will feature live music from 3 bands, a 50/50 drawing and basket raffles all for a $10 donation.
So if you want to help out:
