NFL Week 8

NFL week 8
The trend is if you pick against me you do well. Last week I went 3-5 for a season record of 20-27 on the year. Not too late to catch up, but I ‘d better make my move this week. So I have put extra thought into things. . As always any losses incurred by relying on said information is not the responsibility of me, The Mountain, Entercom communications, Entercom Northeast, its properties or its subsidiaries. Some big games this week so let’s take a look:
DOLPHINS (+10) over Giants. The lowly Dolphins have covered once in their last 11, while the Giants have only covered 2 of their last 8. Not encouraging. The spread is big, and it’s a must game for both teams. This is the kind of game the Giants need to win if they want the division. There are few “soft” games on the rest fo the schedule. The dolphins on the other hand are playing for their coach, who was overheard on the sidelines telling a ref he thinks he’s getting fired. The Giants have too much fire power. Eli Manning is having a great year statistically after looking like a preseason mess. The Giants have a monster pass rush to inflict on the fish (that Jason Pierre Paul is the truth). Everything says Giants. The whammy in the mix is do the Dolphins put in the effort ro cruise the rest of the way. I think the Dolphins keep it close enough (though I’m hope to see a really good Tom Coughlin “nutty” thrown on the sidelines) Dolphins.
BILLS (-4 ½) over Redskins. Eventually we all come back down to earth. The Redskins had their fun. Bills
BENGALS (-1) over Seahawks. Don’t look now, but Marvin Lewis is having one of the greatest coaching comebacks ever, covering 9 of his last 10. Works for me. Striped Cats!
PATRIOTS (2.5) over Steelers. This could be great news for the Steeler nation as past history has proven out that I am almost always wrong regarding the fortunes of the black and gold. I know a squat ton is said about Troy Polamalu, but the heart and soul of that defense is James Harrison, who’s on the bench with a broken orbital. Pats in this one by a field goal.
EAGLES (- 3 ½) Over Cowboys. Eagles are forever-0 when coming off their bye week. Some things you don’t bet against EAGLES
CHARGERS (-3 ½) over Chiefs. Chargers own this series. Go bolts!
That’ s how I see it. Enjoy the games!
